Folk rock guitarist Martyn Travis has mesmerized audiences with his distinctive sound and compelling lyrics. His most well-known song, "Deckhand On a Trawler," demonstrates his storytelling prowess and ability to evoke nostalgia. This moving song transports listeners through the highs and lows of life, striking a chord with many who can identify with the hardships and victories described in the lyrics. This song notably has been recorded by several Artists both in Ireland and abroad. Recently “ Miscellany of Folk”, brainchild of Benny McCarthy of Danu recorded a compelling version of the song.
